LEADERSHIP BIOS

Pastor - Dr. Frank Trail:

Pastor Frank, Gloria, and their three children, have been part of the Whitepine Baptist Church family since August of 1999. While it’s impossible to fully describe anyone on a web-site, here are a few tidbits of info you may find interesting about the ‘Trail clan’!

If you see the van in front of the church, but can’t find him in the office or his study, Pastor Frank is probably in the sanctuary tuning one of his guitars or playing the piano. Passionate about worship and music, Frank has been involved with various music ministries since he was in high school (just don’t mention anything about bluegrass!), and that continues to be one of the main emphases of his ministry here, along with teaching and preaching. Pastor Frank is interested in and has led seminars on ‘spiritual formation’ and spiritual disciplines, which he studied to complete his Doctor of Ministry degree in June of 2005.

While Gloria enjoys music, too, she has been more involved in working and planning various children’s ministries, planning special events in the life of the church family, and more recently providing leadership in women’s ministry. Frank and Gloria met at Atlantic Baptist College (now Atlantic Baptist University) and were married the week after they graduated (1990). They served together in various forms of ministry in Nova Scotia while Frank went to seminary for three years (and Glo worked hard to pay the bills!). After finishing seminary, the happy couple then went off to Grand Manan Island where they ministered for six years, before coming to Whitepine. During their ministry on Grand Manan, God also brought three wonderful children into their lives (so now Gloria has four kids to look after!)

The Trail gang are all avid readers, and most of them sports fans as well (‘Go Bruins, Steelers, and Chelsea!!’).  Everyone enjoys camping and biking and anything else they can do outdoors. If you want to know more about them, stop in some time and introduce yourself… you might just get yourself invited out for lunch!!
