The Truth Project is a teaching ministry tool developed by Focus on the Family Ministries to better equip people to see all of life through the lens of their Christian faith. Many people claim to believe in God and some even claim to have a relationship with Jesus Christ- but does that affect the way we do our work, choose and develop personal relationships, approach issues related to science and politics? In other words, do we really believe that what we say we believe is really real? From September 20- May 2 (with breaks for Advent, Easter, and other important dates in the calendar), we will be looking at how the Christian faith affects our understanding of: the possibility of ‘absolute truth’; the place of philosophy & ethics; the nature of humanity; science, history, & sociology; the meaning of life; the place of law & government; the role of work; community involvement... and more!
We will usually look at these topics over 2 Sundays, as well as in weekly small groups that meet in homes, and possibly a church study group at Whitepine. The cost is free (with the possible exception of the purchase of a workbook), but the knowledge and experience will be invaluable!! Make sure you sign up for a small group soon, and set aside the time to be with us for this eye-opening journey. For more information about the Truth Project click here.
